Android App Admins gets three new Android tools

Google has announced recently three new updates to Android’s enterprise management capabilities. This is specially developed around security and connecting with colleagues and will be available to business and education Android Applications.
The first of the Android tools, Google Apps Device Policy app, allows employees to quickly locate a lost to stolen Android 2.2+ device. It can be located on a map, ringing the device and resetting the PIN/password of the Android device via the My Devices website.
The second Android tool allows administrators of Android Apps to encrypt their data. This is currently available for Android Honeycomb Tablets. Lastly, the third update is a new corporate contact app, Google Apps Lookup. This makes it easier to find people in the organization with either their name, email Id.
Mayur Kamat, Product Manager for Google Enterprise Mobility says “Mobile devices harness the power, speed and scale of the web to help people stay productive on the go. And these improvements should help make Android users even more productive while keeping their information secure.” It’s certainly interesting that Google is focusing on updates that allows users to integrate Android with web devices.
