Android 2.2 may come to Droid July 13th

According to reliable source of Droid life , Android 2.2 may be seen running on the Motorola Droid very soon , and just two days before Droid X launch , the update may start rolling out by July 13^th .

“Droid X would receive Android 2.2″ was very clearly said when the phone was announced , while it was also said that the original Droid would receive Android 2.2 sometime around July 13^th may not be the exact date but this doesn’t completely prove the news wrong . While we have already seen test builds of Froyo for Droid earlier , so there are certainly chances that the news is correct .

Of course delays with any release are expected like the Android 2.1 update . Even if the target dates are announced you should expect delays of few days .

This is going to target many Android application developers to Android 2.2 , the updates would reach almost all devices by the end of Q4 , because Google has planned something really interesting for the Christmas .
