5 Android apps desperately awaited by its users

Despite the newly announced Apple’s OS 4.0 , android still stands above iPhone when it comes to in-built features and its open nature , but coming to the quality and quantity of apps available for android , iPhone dominates it . Despite the fast growing user base and many Big App developers stepping in Android development , there are few apps which are still desperately awaited by Android users and havent been available in Android market since a long time after they were released for iPhone and other platforms .

Amazon Kindle  

Few months back Amazon announced Kindle for iPad , there’s already an app for iPhone , then why not for Androids ?

Reading an eBook on iPhone may not be as enjoyable experience as with androids like Droid , Nexus , Incredible and others having a bigger and brighter screens , it would be really nice to have a choice as kindle for reading eBooks on Androids .

Skype  

Androids have always been the first choice for users who wish to do more with their device , with the multi-tasking and open nature of androids , but the missing official Skype client is really annoying for android users who wish to stay connected with their buddies on the go  , there is a official Skype client but only available to 3UK and Verizon users

We’d love an official client to appear on the Android Market, offering always-on IM , Skype In and Skype Out support to make use of the most popular VoIP network easily from an Android phone.

Tweetie  

Android does have a twitter application but the iPhone’s tweetie is much more feature rich and has a better user experience . Twitter has bought tweetie to make it the official Twitter application for iPhone , an official Blackberry application is also now available . Twitter is also expected to come up with its application for android soon , this will also make a lot of Android tweeters happy indeed .

DropBox  

When it comes to drag and drop files there is nothing easier than DropBox .

Despite of good file management system , file formats apart from recognized music , videos and pictures need to be accessed from system root folder which is generally not possible but Dropbox performs the task with an ease .

Cool iPhone games like Bejeweled , Plant vs Zombies , other Pop cap games  

Android market has tons of games available but popcap is known in gaming industry for the fun and innovative games they have made for iPhone and iPod touch . The massively addictive Bejeweled and the exciting Plant vs Zombies are still being awaited  by android fans . Last year Popcap revealed about plans to move to android market , since then we haven’t heard any talk about it but they are expected very soon with a blast .

Is it that the developers dont even care about android’s or the Android development is not generating them good revenue’s like iphone development does ?

We hope android developers will be serving us these apps very soon , and android apps count in the market would reach higher figures with so many Android phones coming out every month .
